“ Great vegan cafe and a lovely addition to the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood! I've come to this place a few times and was delighted every time. I've ordered a few coffee drinks and some of the food, and all the items were delicious and to my taste, even though I don't usually drink coffee! I ordered my drinks with oat milk, so I can't comment on any other milk alternatives. The service was also excellent. The staff are friendly and inviting, and go above and beyond to make sure that you have a pleasant experience. The atmosphere is also great, with a clean and inviting space. One minor issue I have is with the serving glasses, which are quite hot when immediately served. The bathroom was pretty good! It is a large, accessible washroom with a mostly black and white colour scheme, but a few pops of colour! The yellow door was a nice touch, and the plant was also nice to have. The fixtures are standard but well maintained. One thing that could improve this would be a couple more decorations, but that's a minor detail. I'd happily use this bathroom again! Bathroom: 7.5/10 Once again, I'm glad this place is in the neighbourhood and I'll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu. ”
“ The food was delicious. The service was amazing. They kept checking on our water. The washroom was super clean and we didn't feel rushed at all. But I love this vegan restaurant since all the drinks are already made dairy-free milk. The menu is also very creative as well! I would definitely come again to try different things. ”
“ 10/10. Incredibly kind and attentive owners and staff! Delicious food. I highly recommend the Rogue Waffle. Scones are also delicious. Love that Uha had her cookie popup here with Lore cookies as well. Will definitely be back and can’t wait to keep watching them grow & succeed! ”
“ Wow - I feel so lucky to have this place in my neighbourhood! I've been here maybe 4 times now and the food and vibes are just phenomenal. At first it felt a little expensive but the service and quality of the dishes really make up for it. The chicken caesar wrap is the best I've ever had and all of the breakfast items are fantastic. My partner had the jerk wrap and said it was the best wrap he had had in years in Vancouver. ”
“ This place is a dream for anyone who likes plant-based food! This isn’t just any vegan cafe, the food is really interesting and genuinely impressive. I’ve been here 3 times and the handful of meals I’ve tried off the menu (Rogue Waffle, Jerk Burrito, Fauxlet O Fish) were all amazing. I love that, instead of just the usual vegan cafe food, they have veganized and very classy takes on lots of popular breakfast and lunch fare that usually isn’t plant-based. I think this is both a great place to visit if you yourself like vegan food or to take someone who’s skeptical to show them what’s possible with vegan food. One thing about the menu that might be off putting or confusing to some people is that they don’t lead the descriptors of the food with “vegan” - the menu will just say “chicken sandwich” or “fish burger”, etc. You can rest assured that everything is plant-based, but it would be nice to have more detail as to what some of the meat substitutes are made of. I do appreciate that the menu entries are otherwise pretty detailed and give you a good idea of what each item is like. The staff members are very friendly and if you have any questions they will be happy to help. They always check on me and ask how everything is. You can tell lots of passion and thought has gone into this cafe. The space is really nice but even with the added patio seating they’re often full. They recently rented the space next door and I think they’re planning on expanding, which should give some needed breathing room. ”
“ AM Cafe is a gem! The food was absolutely delicious—I had the smoked salmon croissant and parmesan tater tots, and both were incredible. Every bite felt like it was made with love and kindness, and it truly brightened up my day. The atmosphere was perfect, especially with the sunshine adding to the vibe. The chef and staff were so warm and welcoming, making the experience even better. Me and my dog sushi can’t wait to come back! ”
“ This vegan cafe is a great option to have breakfast or lunch. They have indoor and outdoor seating with a nice sunny side patio during the morning. Their pastries are very tasty and their brunch menu is super flavourful. I love the egg sandwich, if you like spicy food ask them the spicy option. ”
“ My friend and I stumbled into this place and ended up very happy with the food! Bonus was the little pet friendly patio outside and the amazing service! As a vegetarian I was so happy with the many options on the menu. I will definitely be coming back to try other items. Food: - Vegan Fish Burger 7/10: very tasty burger and not too heavy. I felt there was too much bread and sauce compared to the size of the fish patty (it kinda got lost in there). - Caesar Salad (side) 8/10: it was great but a bit too salty - Go-chu Burger 9/10: it was absolutely amazing, the gochujang flavour really came through. I went for the spicy version, and while it wasn’t particularly spicy to me, the taste was still fantastic. I’d definitely come back just for that burger alone. Drinks: - iced matcha with oat milk 7.5/10: pretty good overall. The flavour was smooth, though there were a few specks of matcha powder that could’ve been whisked a little more thoroughly. - iced latte with almond milk 9/10: very tasty coffee. The flavors were not too bitter, perfect for a hot day out too. I would come back just for it alone. I got it in a to-go cup and was charged for it (which is common) ”
